New Child Care Zones
Feb 07, 2025
The Kansas Department for Health and Environment (KDHE) presents an opportunity for communities to strengthen their local child care infrastructure. Funding is provided by the Preschool Development Grant and applications are accepted this spring and summer.
A Child Care Zone is a self-defined geographical area that serves a minimum of two Kansas counties.
The focus of the Child Care Zone project is to address locally defined child care challenges. Zones are to support child care community needs and not be limited to a specific facility or organization. Projects are to focus on early childhood licensed child care.
