Farm to Table comes to Early Childhood

The Kansas Department of Agriculture is offering licensed child care providers resource kits and agriculture curriculum to teach Kansas children about fruit and vegetable farming. Providers in the program can also receive reimbursement for buying locally grown fruits and vegetables as a part of the curriculum. This project is designed to help young children establish lifelong healthy eating habits which are vital for physical growth and cognitive development.

Applications for the project titled “Our Earliest Eaters: Bringing the Farm to Kansas Licensed Early Child Care” are accepted until 4/30/26 at 5 p.m.
