WIC: Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) specializes in providing nutritional foods and education tailored specifically to pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum mothers and children under 5.  

Additional services provided by WIC include breastfeeding support, immunization screening and referral and educational classes on a variety of topics related to healthy living.  

Families must apply and meet certain eligibility requirements to be a part of the WIC program. Eligibility requirements include: income limits and being a Kansas resident who is pregnant, breastfeeding, postpartum, or has an infant or child who is under 5 years old.
